Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assistance in Baking: Help prepare ingredients, measure, mix, and bake products according to recipes and instructions. Assist in the creation of bread, pastries, cakes, cookies, and other baked goods.
  • Preparation and Setup: Assist in the preparation of batters and fillings. Set up and maintain workstations, ensuring that all tools and equipment are clean and organized.
  • Quality Control: Observe and learn quality control standards, including proper baking times, temperatures, and presentation of finished products.
  • Recipe Execution: Follow established recipes and procedures while learning how to adapt and troubleshoot as needed.
  • Inventory Management: Help with inventory management by checking and restocking ingredients and supplies as needed.
  • Sanitation: Adhere to sanitation and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Follow proper hygiene practices and ensure that all kitchen equipment is sanitized.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members, contributing to a positive and efficient work atmosphere.

You know you are suitable if you:

  • Are a driven, hard and efficient worker, and you're willing to learn
  • A diploma/degree in Culinary Arts or Baking and Pastry Arts is advantageous, or have handled fondant/clay before
  • Effective communication skills.
