Interns can expect to work closely with desk editors and journalists to cover everything that matters to Singaporeans and residents. This includes housing, transport, education, community and human interest stories, among other areas. They will typically start off playing a supporting role, shadowing journalists on jobs / assignments. Those who perform well will be assigned to cover jobs on their own. During their time with us, they will learn how to write/structure stories and how to present information effectively.
Learning Outcome:
They will learn how to talk to people from all walks of life, how to ask questions at press conferences and cover news events, process information, interview newsmakers. They will learn how to write stories for online and print, shoot simple videos, how to use social media to promote content.
