We are a social network startup whose mission is to help people create meaningful connections. We are seeking a high performance DevOps engineer to join us as a founding member of this team. We are made up of a group of like-minded enthusiastic tech and design members who want to change the way people connect with each other in a sustainable way. Our members are all working on this project on a part time basis without pay, but with the basis of profit sharing once the app is launched and profitable.

Job Description

Your responsibilities:

  1. Set up and maintenance of GCP infrastructure
  2. Set up and maintenance of web platform which uses Next.js, eg Vercel
  3. Automation of recurring processes
  4. Working closely with development teams and implementing CI/CD pipelines for building, testing, and deploying applications
  5. Containerising applications and orchestrating containers
  6. Designing and implementation of application environments to ease development, testing, and release processes
  7. Monitoring the infrastructure and application for improvements
  8. Cost-control to operate at minimal cost

Required skills:

  1. At least 3 years experience working with Google Cloud Platform and web platform
  2. Experience deploying databases, mobile and web app. 
  3. Experience in containerization and orchestration (Docker, GKE, Container Registry, Cloud Run)
  4. Experience in writing CI/CD for applications and infrastructure (Cloud Build, Jenkins, etc.)
  5. Experience in using monitoring tools (Cloud Monitoring)
  6. Experience in securing web and app platform.
  7. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, etc.
  8. DevSecOps skills
  9. Able to communicate clearly in English language
  10. Great team player, responsive and reliable
