ActSEA is sector agnostic. Our path is driven by the aspiration and needs of the communities we work with. Thus, we have worked on different areas (public health, environment, livelihoods, education, gender, disaster response) and utilised different approaches (community development, behaviour change, research, advocacy, research, capacity building).
The Human Resource intern will support the day-to-day running of the teams, focusing on recruitment as well as team member engagement.
Talent Acquisition:
Draft role descriptions for openings, and put up openings on volunteer and recruitment platforms and schemes
Monitor, screen and follow up on applications to join the ActSEA family including arranging for interviews, preparing internship/employee/consultant agreements, and onboarding the incoming team members
Human Capital Management:
Work with each team’s lead to update the status of their team members, and follow up with members whose statuses have changed, including offboarding
Regularly update the ActSEA family profiles database, and encourage team members to update their profiles
Support volunteer management as needed
Employee Engagement:
Run and analyse data from mental health check-ins, and develop capacity and resources to support mental health
Improving company policies such as salary and anti-discrimination policies
Plan and carry out bonding sessions amongst full-time staff and members
Draft ActSEA’s quarterly volunteer newsletter
