Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic intern to join our Shipping and Trade Operations team. The ideal candidate will gain hands-on experience in international trade and shipping processes, while assisting with various operational tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in the coordination and execution of shipping and trade activities.
  2. Support the preparation and management of trade/shipping documents (e.g., Bills of Lading, Freight Invoices).
  3. Help monitor shipment operations from loading to discharging by liaising with agents, masters, inspectors, and vessel brokers.
  4. Assist in calculating laytime and demurrage/dispatch claims.
  5. Contribute to the preparation of shipment data and reporting.
  6. Perform any other ad hoc duties assigned by the team.

Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Marine, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of international trade regulations and shipping processes is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
