Cocos Ferra – R&D Intern (Skincare)

1. Research & Analysis

• Analyse market trends, customer insights, and competitor data to develop innovative product ideas and strategies.

• Research market prices, create accurate product costing data and propose product pricing.

• Proactively research new raw materials, ingredients, and technical opportunities to enhance product offerings and stay ahead of trends.

2. Product Development

• Responsible for entire development process for new product and reformulations.

• Maintenance and improvement of current products in market, ensuring ongoing success and alignment with brand vision.

• Research and develop innovative skincare, cosmetic, and personal care products from concept to commercialization.

• Work directly in the lab, operating basic lab equipment and formulating new products.

• Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in all product development activities.

• Manage and maintain all documents and records to ensure the laboratory is in a state of readiness for testing support.

• Review formulas and ingredient/ design statements for new product that is compliant with regulations.

3. Testing and Analysis

• Conduct product stability, packaging compatibility, efficacy testing, and accurate trending of results.

• Ensure formulations are meet safety and quality standards

4. Production Planning

• Transition formulations to bigger-scale manufacturing.

• Maintain a clean work environment and ensuring machines are in good condition.

• Passion for beauty, skincare and personal care products.

• Planning & organising skills; time management skills.

• Self-starter, good at working well independently and collaboratively with initiative.

• Knowledge of stability and efficacy testing protocols.

• Proficient in using basic lab equipment.

• Knowledge of GMP and regulatory requirements.
