Since our founding in 2013, Searix has been a technology consultancy at heart, specializing in innovative rapid prototyping.

In 2015, we built our first barcode guest registration and lucky draw system for a corporate event. Since then, we’ve developed 45 more systems and they have been deployed at more than 2,500 events in 11 countries. These solutions range from registration and badge printing systems for conferences and exhibitions, to custom redemption and referral systems for marketing campaigns, to AR effects across social channels, as well as interactive pop-up exhibits and launch mechanisms.

Job Description

As an Event Technology Project Intern, your primary function will be to support the smooth and continued deployment and usage of various digital systems at over 1,000 events and campaigns that we support in a year. These events include marketing brand activations, product launches, trade show exhibitions, conferences, gala dinners and various others by corporates and government organisations.

 

You will do this by:

- Learning about the core suite of products within Searix

- Assisting a Project Manager with project management tasks, including account servicing, stakeholder management, liaison and project operations - this may include writing project specifications, negotiating project priorities and timelines, etc.

- Coordinating the resources (software designers and developers, rental suppliers, partner agencies, etc.) required to ensure smooth service delivery

- Deploying our systems and related resources both online and on-site by setting up the appropriate equipment and configurations, as well as doing testing to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the systems

You will:

- Be at the forefront of software tech innovation in the events and campaigns industries. Although we do not get involved in the end-to-end event management, we are involved in 30 to 60 projects per month, ranging from guest registration and badging to redemptions and lucky draws, to AR filters and more.

- Be exposed to a wide variety of event types, likely including corporate events, conferences, exhibitions, gala dinners, award ceremonies and product launches.

Key requirements:

- High attention to detail

- Quick and clear ability for written communication

- Independent and resourceful

- Good situational awareness

- Experience with events will be advantageous

- Experience with web technology or digital project management will be significantly advantageous

 

While most of your work can be done remotely, you will be required to be present at events in Singapore when we are engaged for them.

This is a full-time position that does not have an office, and has no intention for one in the near future. Working hours are generally flexible as well but you are expected to be responsible for operationalising at events, many of which may occur on Friday nights and Saturdays.
