Job Description

Our Opportunity 

Successful applicants will work closely with the Compliance & Risk team at Lighthouse Canton. This internship offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who thrive on challenges and are eager to gain exposure to aspects of compliance, including Anti Money Laundering (AML), developing digital strategy for the SMEs, and data management. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Assist in AML/CFT implementation which includes strategies, systems and controls, ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Provide support in compliance processes including performing AML/CFT checks and due diligence on the prospects/clients and monitoring client activity.
  • Contribute to building plans for the Compliance & Risk team to ensure timely execution of regulatory commitments.
  • Prepare and conduct presentations on various Risk and Compliance matters to employees. 

Qualifications & Skills: 

  • Undergraduate in Finance/Economics/Statistics with excellent grades. 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. 
  • Experience in designing and developing systems. 
  • Proactive, meticulous, and attention to details. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with various levels of stakeholders. 
  • Possess keen interest in governance, risk and compliance in the financial services industry. 
  • Ability to commit for minimum 3 months, however, 6 months is preferred
