Job Description

1doc Medical Centre Bedok is an upcoming East-Meets-West concept located in the heartlands at Heartbeat@Bedok, featuring a Western Clinic, TCM Clinic, and Café.

We are searching for chef de partie and cooks to work alongside our Executive Chef to prepare high-quality food food for our cafe's patrons. You will be an excellent team player, willing to go the extra mile in pursuit of great food and exceptional service.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up the kitchen with cooking utensils and equipment, like knives, pans and kitchen scales
  • Study each recipe and gather all necessary ingredients
  • Cook food in a timely manner
  • Able to take instructions from Executive Chef or Sous Chef
  • Inform Kitchen HOD on item 86
  • Ensure appealing plate presentation
  • Supervise junior cooks and assist as needed
  • Monitor food stock and place orders
  • Check freshness of food and discard out-of-date items
  • Making sure cleanliness of kitchen at all times
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area

Requirements:

  • Preferably have a basic Food Hygiene Certificate
  • Basic Knowledge of culinary, baking and pastry techniques
  • Ability to remain calm and undertake various tasks
  • Excellent time management abilities
  • Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes
  • Familiarity with sanitation regulations
