POSITION SUMMARY:
During the internship, the incumbent will support the Regional Human Resources team in HR Operations and Employee Engagment, to drive overall employee experience and organization efficiencies.
They will gain hands-on experience in HR systems, HR reporting, compensation & benefits administration, internal communications as well as design and deployment of employee engagement plans.
KEY REPONSIBILITIES:
HR Operations
- Ensure timely and accurate updates of new hires’ and leavers’ information in WePeople
- Timely update of employees’ and dependents’ enrollment and termination for group insurance and flexible medical benefits
- Shadow Senior Regional HR Executive for at least 1 payroll cycle to understanding the payroll process and assist in payroll-related tasks as assigned for hands-on experience e.g. reporting
- Issue Certification of Employment letters to employees upon request / need basis
- Maintain Regional Office organization charts
- Submit headcount information for monthly internal reporting / statutory reporting
- Present recommendations to improve operation efficiencies based on internship learning and observations
- Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned
Employee Engagment
- Support the conceptualization of employee engagement initiatives for the Regional Office
- Lead selected employee engagement initiatives from internal communications to actual day implementation
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Good knowledge in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
- Executional excellence - accuracy and attention to detail
