Primary Function/Primary Goals/Objectives:
* Successfully drives and facilitates the Business Process Improvement approach within AMS site through the deployment of Business Process Improvement Systems, related tools and thought processes.
* Suggests and advises process improvement initiatives.
* Presents recommendations and progress reports to senior site leadership.
* Provides support and project management assistance to team members within a business unit and functional level.
* Responsible for creating an environment and assisting leadership and customers in the timely and successful completion of cost effective, strategic project and business improvement opportunities.
Major Responsibilities:
* Help implement process improvement projects in the plant to streamline workflow.
* Perform data collection and job redesign for standard work implementation at the shop floor.
* Perform data collection and analysis on long term production issues and perform root cause analysis to resolve the problem.
* Support cost improvement projects such as performing trials, engineering studies and reduction projects.
* Support current process such as visual factory, RCA, and Kaizen in the operations area.
* Assumes role of change agent as an internal continuous improvement consultant.
* Incorporates the use of Business Process Improvement Methodology and Tools into current business processes.
* Any other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Skills/Experience Requirements:
* 0 to 3 years of operations experience in a manufacturing environment.
* Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
* Well-versed in using Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
* Experienced in technical problem solving and implementing improvement ideas/ projects.
* Understands and uses simulation and modelling tools and concepts.
* Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
Education:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering specializing in Industrial Engineering.
