Looking for an intern from Polytechnic that can commit full time from September 2024 to February 2025
Project Overview: Able to see the micro results and compare the actual production campaign and corelate the events that transpired
• New Hire Orientation
• New Hire online training
• On the job training
• Brainstorming an improvement project
• Routine day to day tasks assigned by Supervisor. Routine tasks include but not limited to: Weekly tracking of idea performance, Weekly MRO stock count, Tracking of financial performance for the department, Safety BBS Gemba participation, Monthly upkeeping of metric board etc
• Ad-hoc tasks assigned by Supervisor
• Execution of improvement projects from start to end
Learning Outcomes:
Students learn about:
1) Basic information about the company’s business
2) Safety evacuation and safety procedures
3) Training requirements pertaining to his/her role
4) Use of Power BI as a visual board platform
5) Fundamental knowledge on financial budgeting and tracking of financial performance
6) Understanding of Safety BBS Gemba
7) Understanding of importance of metric board and upkeeping of metric board
8) Management of non routine/ad-hoc tasks
9) Identification of an improvement project that potentially provides benefits in cost savings/safety/operational efficiency etc. to the organisation
10) How to work in a potentially cross functional group to get alignment on execution of the projects
11) How to manage projects end to end
12) How to manage his/her workload by juggling between tasks and projects assigned
13) How to nagivate through issues that arise during the execution of the projects
Location Of Internship:
Abbott Manufacturing Singapore, 26 Tuas South Avenue 10 Singapore 637437 (shuttle bus service provided from Jurong East/Boon Lay MRT to Tuas in the morning, and from Tuas to Jurong East MRT in the evening)
