Project Scope:
To be part of Utilities Excellence Program in Abbott, which is driving energy saving in the manufacturing plant. Our largest opportunities to conserve energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, which is under our direct control is by improving energy efficiency within our facilities and supply chain, increasing the use of renewable or low carbon energy sources. Exposure and learning opportunities to day to day utilities operations, and maintenance work, problem solving for continuous improvement.
1. Learn how energy saving initiatives are being developed, quantified, and implemented, how to do project cost and benefits analysis
2. To be involved in energy performance monitoring and tracking, data collection for root cause analysis, energy consumption study, energy balance study and analysis
3. Exposure to CO2 emissions tracking and renewable energy projects evaluation in the region
4. Opportunities to work and interact with different group of people with diverse background and experience
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a Degree in Chemical & Biomolecular Engineering/Mechanical Engineering preferred. Other Engineering disciplines are welcomed to apply
- Able to intern full-time for at least 6 months and commit from Dec20/Jan21 to May/June 2021 (6 months internship)
- Able and willing to work in Tuas (shuttle bus service provided from Jurong East MRT)
