Key Responsibilities
As an intern, you may be tasked on the following scope of work:
Investment/Portfolio Management
- Manage client portfolios and execute tailored investment strategies.
- Conduct market analysis, asset allocation, and security selection across equities, fixed income, multi-asset, and alternative investments.
Research and Analysis
- Perform fundamental and quantitative research on global markets, sectors, and individual securities.
- Provide actionable insights to support data-driven investment decisions.
Risk Management
- Identify, assess, and mitigate market, credit, and operational risks.
- Ensure adherence to internal risk frameworks and regulatory standards.
Global Macroeconomic Analysis
- Prepare and present reports on global macroeconomic trends, focusing on G7 economies.
- Research and interpret economic indicators, such as PMI, inflation, and market surveys, to evaluate their impact on financial markets.
Financial Modelling
- Develop and refine financial models for private companies, both locally and overseas.
- Create detailed valuation models and write comprehensive reports on findings.
Product Development
- Assist in designing and launching innovative investment products that meet evolving client demands.
- Conduct feasibility studies and support the regulatory approval process for new products.
Technology and Quantitative Analytics
- Utilize cutting-edge tools to build models and algorithms for investment strategies.
- Support trading activities with data-driven insights and advanced analytics.
Corporate Governance and Compliance
- Monitor internal practices to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Support adherence to regulatory requirements and corporate governance standards.
Client Engagement and Reporting
- Prepare and present investment model portfolios to clients as part of a long-term collaboration with portfolio managers.
This program is structured to be credit bearing for University students who wish to clear their attachment for Summer or for any undergraduate who has an interest to expose themselves to the asset management/investment portfolio management industry.
