Legal Interns
Intern(s) will be attached to AEM legal department and perform the following:
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform substantive research on applicable laws and regulations across multiple jurisdictions, including in relation to company law, contract law, intellectual property, M&A, employment law and data protection
- Assist with the drafting and review of basic contracts and templates, under supervision
- Provide support on administrative and operational matters of the legal team
- Complete ad-hoc duties assigned from time to time
RELATED EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Minimum requirements
- Law undergraduate in penultimate or final year, or recent graduate preparing for the bar exams (preferably law students in year 3 or 4)
- Interest and ability in corporate law subjects, especially in the areas of company law, contract law and intellectual property
- Strong legal research skills, written and verbal communication abilities
- Details oriented and possesses effective organizational skills
- Possess positive attitude, willing to learn and adaptable
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
