About Africa-South East Asia Chamber of Commerce (ASEACC)
Based in Singapore, the Africa-South East Asia Chamber of Commerce is the first chamber of commerce focused on building high-level business relationships between Africa and South East Asia regions. It comprises an exclusive "by invitation only" membership to decision makers at the Presidents/ CEO/ Chairman-level of leading corporations from both regions. Position
Operations & Marketing Intern ( CEO Office)
What you will learn
The duties revolve around supporting the day-to-day work of the Secretary-General/CEO’s office in terms of calendering, operations, events and office work. The intern will be exposed to a wide variety of learning opportunities, such as:
(1) understanding how operational efficiency is linked to the performance of an organisation,
(2) Marketing over email and Linkedin
At the same time, be exposed to mentoring and pick up invaluable life-skills from diverse tasks, from general office administrative duties, to projects, to networking, and events.
Depending on your workload and aptitude, you will also be exposed to similar duties in other businesses, and get to learn about other industries and sectors.
General duties
Name-cards and Mailing lists
- Scan, data-entry, and filing of name cards
- Export contacts to a mailing list
- Send out emails using MailChimp or any other mass marketing application
- Send out and write thank you notes
- Print and collect namecards
Website and Linkedin
- rePost daily web articles on Linkedin page
- Upload news and articles on website using wordpress
Support in preparation of PowerPoint slides
- Support and Prepare PowerPoint presentation slides in areas related to business, economy, general research
Meetings, Calendering and Scheduling
- Manage and schedule calendaring and schedule
- Arrange for video and audio calls
Procurement, Budgeting and Finance
- Scanning of receipts
- Maintaining proper finance records
- Purchase of office suppliers, equipment
Events
- Crafting of program schedule
- Liaising with agents to manage visits, speakers, transport, hotel, flights etc.
- Managing the budget of the event
- Designing of program booklet and lanyard
Exposure to business networking & seminars
Attend networking conferences and seminars organised by business partners such as Singapore business federation, and Enterprise Singapore
Your expected skills and background requirements
Academic background: General i.e. events, marketing, operations, administration, secretarial, business, logistics
Highly attentive to details, meticulous to tasks and very well-organised
Humble, adaptable, open, flexible and willing to learn
Skills requirements
Knowledge of WordPress is a bonus
Proficient in Microsoft Office, Powerpoint, Excel

Commitment to a minimum of 3+3 months
Working days
Full time: Mon to Fri 9 to 6pm daily with 1-hour lunch break
Part-time: Min of 3 days a week with possibility of half day sessions
Leave
1 day of leave per month of full-time work done

Remuneration per month
From $800 (for candidates who have completed their A-levels but who are not yet in university; or in an ITE requiring to do internship)
