Job Description

We are looking for a HR & Finance intern who thrives in a challenging, exciting and fast-paced start-up environment. S/he should be proactive, organized and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a timely manner. Someone who is independent but also able to collaborate in a team environment. 

Reporting directly to our HR & Finance Manager, he/she will play a key role in performing necessary arrangements for candidates, as well as having to be detail oriented when it comes to creating invoices and tallying of totals in monthly billing. 

Responsibilities: 

Human Resource

  • Participate in day to day HR recruitment activities from sourcing, screening, shortlisting to coordination of interviews

  • Assist on the full cycle of employee experience from onboarding to offboarding

  • Develop and update job descriptions

  • Work closely with other departments (Marketing, Operations, Sales etc) to build and maintain a database of potential candidates

  • Handle private and confidential matters (eg: payrolls & employee contracts)

  • Maintain company's culture 

  • Any other ad-hoc tasks as assigned

 

Finance

  • Monthly invoicing tabulation

  • Bank reconciliations 

 

Learning Outcomes & Objectives:

  • Improve communication and people skills comprehensively

  • Understand the importance of HR in a fast-growing startup

  • Get hands on experience of a wide spectrum of HR responsibilities

  • Get exposure and experience in company accounting & finance practises 

Requirements:

  • Currently studying in a recognized university/polytechnic, preferably in HR, Finance, related field

  • Passionate about people, services and culture

  • Demonstrates a high degree of integrity and maintains confidentiality

  • Strong organizational and analytical skills

  • A team player who thrives in the fast-paced environment of a startup

  • A self-motivated employee who is organized, detail-oriented, and willing to learn

  • Able to commit full time for at least 5 months
