Aison Pte Ltd – Junior Backend Software Developer

We are looking for a passionate, innovative, agile individual to join us as Full Time Backend Engineer. Someone who is able to stitch and integrate our developed software together.

Things you will do:

• Develop APIs/REST API to make requests to the cloud to send and receive data from AI algorithm/models.

• Maintain and improve APIs used in front-end applications.

• Build, manage and improve the servers and databases to be used in back-end applications.

• Regularly inspect server code for speed optimization.

• Maintain, improve, and deploy cloud services.

• Improve the quality of the team’s code through writing unit tests and automation.

• Analyse current codebase and formulate more efficient processes to solve problems.

• Record and report data to appropriate parties such as clients and supervisors.

• Taking lead on projects, as needed.

Back-end Developer Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer programming, computer science, or a related field.

• Familiarity with configuring REST API public and internal endpoints.

• Solid Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and software design knowledge.

• Knowledge in database systems.

• Fluency or understanding of specific languages, such as Java, PHP, C++ or Python, and operating systems may be required.

• Strong understanding of the relationship among back-end servers, the cloud, and the front-end application.

• Strong problem solving and verbal and written communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and with a group.

• Familiarity with Artificial Intelligences (AI) and Machine Learning concepts is preferred.
