Akadot TV is a bilingual digital media that documents Singapore-Japan stories.
Aka (赤) means red in Japanese, and Akadot translates to Red Dot in English. Affectionately known as the “Little Red Dot”, Singapore is often marked out by a red circle on world maps. A red circle is also used in the Japan flag. The name Akadot symbolizes this common link between Singapore and Japan, and we aim to explore the Japanese culture from a Singaporean perspective and vice versa.
In each story, we feature one or more Japanese or Singaporean individuals who have contributed to the bridging of Japanese and Singaporean cultures in various fields from food & culture, business, education to lifestyle.
We are a team of creatives who love Japan!
