Founded in Singapore in 2004, Akribis Systems is a motion control company that provides high precision direct drive motors. We construct products for a range of industries including renewable energy, semiconductor, communication, biomedical, robotics or any industry that requires precise motion.
We produce direct drive motors with a high force density and patented coil design that decreases cogging. Our linear and rotary motors also are available with stages that we manufacture ourselves so you can smoothly integrate the motor into your design.
More than simply a manufacturer, we are also innovators. Our deep knowledge of engineering and dedication to the work has resulted in 44 patents, and our research and development into the field of magnetics will only continue to grow our business. Our engineers are able to custom design motors and stages to your specific requirements with you as a co-developer.

Department Overview:
The Stage Product Development focuses on bespoke designs for customers in a wide range of industries, such as semiconductor, solar, flat panel, hard disk, LED, printed circuit board and 3D printing. In these stages and systems, it comprises of many components such as motors, encoders, bearings, designed fabricated parts, pneumatics, and many more to assemble into a multi-axis stage specifically designed to meet specifications provided by customers.
- Communicate and portray ideas with customers
- Understand specifications or requirements from customers
- Conduct simulations and studies to during presales
- Generate Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) from specifications or requirements from customers
- Conduct Prove of Concept (POC)
- Design or illustrate from scratch
- Perform motor sizing
- Liaise with various departments such as purchasing and manufacturing to generate costing and lead times for customers
- Generate Bill of Materials (BOM)
- Generate engineering drawings from 3D models, ready for fabrication
- Verify or qualify parts to see if it is suitable to be used for assembly
- Work hand in hand with the assembly and testing team to troubleshoot issues
- Work closely with engineers from various departments like Applications, Electrical, Motor, Encoder, Manufacturing to ensure progress of projects
- Guide technicians in the assembly floor for prototype stages
- Hands-on on complicated or complex stages
- Conduct basic tests to characterize and measure specifications during testing phase (guided by seniors or Subject Matter Experts (SME)
- Conduct investigative works and make proper assessment of issues from Return Material Authorization (RMA)
- Generate Engineering Change Notice (ECN)
- Generate Work Instruction (WI)
- Perform tasks related to project closure
- Prepare documents and work with respective departments to run stages into mass production
- Present in management meetings
- Generate or improve on Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) Guide and train junior engineers
Qualifications
- Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Mechatronics, Aerospace, Physics and/or any other relevant course of study)
- Experience in mechanical or mechatronic related fields is an advantage
- Applicants without experience but with good learning ability are welcome to apply

- 3D modelling using Solidworks
- Finite Element Analysis (FEA) using Solidworks Simulation and Ansys
