Job Description

Emerging Talent Program:

The Allianz Emerging Talent Program is an intensive and exciting 18-month initiative designed to provide associates with a comprehensive immersion into the General Insurance industry. Throughout the program, associates will receive structured on-the-job training tailored to their assigned positions and engage in rotational assignments across various projects, tasks, and departments, facilitated by dedicated mentors for each rotation. Associates will also benefit from mentorship by senior leaders within the company. This multifaceted approach ensures that associates gain learning experiences and emerge from the program well-prepared to assume permanent roles within the company.

Our Opportunity:

As the Operations Associate (Claims), you will be supporting the Claims team to driving excellence through insightful portfolio data analysis. Your analytical prowess will be pivotal for a proper and efficient claims management process. Also, you will be actively involved in hands-on claims handling, including (but not limited to) tasks such as loss assessment and coverage analysis.

Responsibilities:

Claims Handling:

  1. Comprehensive Claims Assessment:
    • Assess, evaluate and negotiate a diverse portfolio of Motor and Non-motor claims, ensuring timely settlements by leveraging analytical skills within the designated authority limit, balancing company interests with customer satisfaction.
    • Conduct thorough policy coverage assessments to ensure accurate claim processing.
    • Evaluate liability in claims and provide findings and recommendations in accordance with company guidelines and regulations.

 

  1. Effective Claim Recoveries:
    • Implement strategic approaches for efficient claim recoveries, maximising recovery potential and contributing to company financial health.
    • Identify potential recoverable claims to optimise revenue generation.

 

Process Optimisation:

  1. Data-Driven Insights:
    • Collaborate closely with the Manager and Head of Department to produce detailed statistical analyses and operational reports for business insights and regular management presentation.
    • Utilise these insights to provide actionable recommendations for claims processes and remedial steps.

 

  1. Strategic Trend Analysis:
    • Conduct in-depth analysis of data trends and patterns to uncover opportunities for claims process enhancements.
    • Develop and propose innovative strategies and initiatives aimed at improving the overall efficiency of claims handling and boosting customer satisfaction.

 

  1. SOP and Process Enhancement:
    • Identify and address gaps, inconsistencies, or inefficiencies in existing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
    • Engage with subject matter experts to gather insights and feedback, driving the development of more robust and streamlined claims processes that align with industry best practices.

 

Capabilities and Qualifications:

Technical Skills

  • Graduating students or fresh graduates (less than 2 years of work experience) with a university degree in a relevant field such as Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or Data Science.
  • Proficiency in MS Office software, with strong skills in Excel, including advanced functions and data analysis tools.
  • Experience in data analysis and reporting is preferred.
  • Experience with data visualisation tools such as Power BI is highly desirable.
  • Experience in motor and/or non-motor claims handling is a plus, but not required.
  • Certificate in General Insurance (CGI) is good to have, but not required.
