Job Summary
We are seeking a PR Intern to join our Singapore office. This internship is designed for university students or recent graduates where you’ll have the opportunity to learn more about the PR industry and best practices in client service, media relations and content development. Think of it as a trial run before becoming a full-fledged member of the Allison team.
As a PR Intern, you will be responsible for developing curated media lists of reporters who cover client and industry-specific news, issues, and announcements. You'll also conduct regular news monitoring to identify trending stories that the account team can leverage for clients. Additionally, you'll be involved in building influencer and media relationships, pitching to secure press opportunities, tracking media coverage, and supporting overall account management with tasks like preparing weekly meeting agendas, action items, and reports.
While this is a full-time position, we are also open to flexible part-time arrangements for up to 20-25 hours per week—making it ideal for students or those with other commitments who are looking to gain practical experience in the PR industry.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide support to four or five client accounts, as well as new business pitches; work may include everything from research, entry-level media relations, content development to administrative support
- Assist with the development of communications materials, including media pitches, press releases, factsheets and infographics
- Coordinate the compilation of press clippings and client reports
- Create and update media lists
- Track client, competitor and industry stories in traditional and digital media
Qualifications
- Someone who has an interest in, and enthusiasm for public relations, journalism and/or communications
- Skilled in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
- Knowledgeable in social media and traditional news landscape
- Enjoy working in collective, cross-office, team environment
- A quick learner with a “can-do” attitude and relentless attention to detail
- A self-motivated multi-tasker and clear communicator, both written and verbal
