Established in 2012, there are nearly 100 colleagues employed by the Center today, with rapid growth planned over the next few years. The team currently includes actuaries, computer programmers, financial analysts and accountants. The Risk Software team is developing a world leading software tool for modelling risk. The software performs Monte Carlo simulations and has a unique visual interface which makes risk modelling flexible and even fun. We have a team of top developers and modellers here in Singapore working on the new features to take the software forwards. The person will get exposure into the world of financial modelling.
Job Description
- The job will involve working with the developers to ensure our bespoke software is working properly.
- It will involve learning to build financial models with the software and try out new features.
- We will provide training so that the user can get up to speed quickly and contribute through using the new features and providing feedback to the developers and the rest of the team.
- The person does not need to be a developer or have programming experience although that may be helpful.
- The person may write some small programs or ‘macros’ using the Python programming language.
Job Requirements
- Undergraduates or Masters students graduating after May/June 2018 preferred
- Degree in a numerical discipline such as mathematics, physics etc with good grades
- Quick learner
- Team player
- Programming experience not necessary although preferred
