Company Profile

Archimedes Holding is a search fund/holding company dedicated to acquiring and operating high-potential small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in Singapore.

Our mission is to identify high-potential businesses, acquire them directly, and ensure their long-term success by honoring and continuing the legacy built by their founders.

We are dedicated to preserving the values and culture of the businesses we acquire, with an emphasis on long term, sustainable growth over short term gains.

We currently have acquired one company in our portfolio, and have committed capital and are looking to acquire more businesses in service-based industries in Singapore.

Job Description

Archimedes Holdings is seeking driven and detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Deal Sourcing Interns. This is a rare opportunity to gain end-to-end exposure to the acquisition process and develop a deep understanding of the private equity and SME sectors in Singapore.

As a Deal Sourcing Intern, you will:

  • Build and Maintain a Deal Pipeline: Identify potential acquisition opportunities by researching industries, market trends, and company profiles, and performing cold outreach.
  • Analyze Confidential Information Memorandums (CIMs): Learn how to read, understand, and evaluate CIMs to assess a company's strengths, weaknesses, and growth potential.
  • Conduct Industry Research: Perform in-depth analysis of target industries to uncover insights that inform our acquisition strategy and validate our investment theses.
  • Apply Valuation Techniques: Gain hands-on experience in financial modeling and company valuation, including methods such as discounted cash flow (DCF), comparable company analysis, and precedent transactions.
  • Participate in Due Diligence: Assist in the review of financial statements, operational metrics, and market positioning to evaluate potential targets.
  • Acquisition process: Participate and learn more about the acquisition process, from drafting LOI's, doing due diligence to raising committed capital.
  • Operational experience: Interns can also gain firsthand experience shadowing operations for existing companies in our portfolio

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong research and analytical skills with an eye for detail.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
  • A proactive, entrepreneurial mindset and eagerness to learn.

Nice to haves:

  • A basic understanding of accounting principles (e.g., reading financial statements and identifying key financial metrics, cash vs accrual accounting etc)

We believe that passion and drive matter more than paper qualifications. We do not require any specific degree or prior experience for this role. If you’re motivated and curious, we’ll teach you everything you need to know to succeed. This internship is your chance to develop valuable skills and gain unparalleled exposure to the business acquisition process, especially for motivated individuals who wish to pursue Entrepreneurship through acquisition in the future.
