Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the Regional Purchasing Manager on purchasing matters for Bostik C&C entities in Asia Pacific Outside China (Australia, New Zealand, Malaysia & the Philippines)


Market Intelligence

•Gather information, analyze and understanding the market especially for key Raw Materials


Projects

•Risk assessment projects – identifying potential alternate vendors or Raw Materials for risk mitigations and regular updates to the Business Unit on the progress


Reports

•Work on monthly purchasing reports and participate in Business Unit (BU) meetings on market dynamics and changes in key Raw Material prices


Purchasing

•Bostik Asia Pacific green energy purchases (Solar projects, Green electricity, etc)

•Ultilities purchases (Brown electricity, Natural Gas, Nitrogen, etc…)

•Regular communications with stakeholders i.e. Supply Chain, Production, Sales team, etc. to understand and support the Business Unit’s (BU) Raw Material needs

•Liaise with approved vendors to support Bostik’s business strategies.

•Work with Purchasing Specialist to ensure Raw Material prices are updated in SAP before Purchase Order (PO) issuance to vendors

•Participate in meetings with stakeholders or vendors (face to face or TEAMs meetings)


Requirements

•Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering or related engineering disciplines

•Commit to a 6-months full time internship as specified, from December 2024

•Undergraduates with a background (but not limited to) in Supply Chain Management, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering or related engineering disciplines

•Strong Microsoft Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)

•Strong interpersonal and communication skills

•Ability to learn new skills

•Good time management

•Ownership of tasks
