Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Operations & Community Engagement:

  • Uphold As We Move’s Values: Ensure our service standards reflect the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere we’re known for.
  • Member Relations: Address inquiries from members, resolve issues promptly, and maintain positive relationships with community members.
  • Tours & Sales Support: Provide gym tours to potential members and explain our offerings, highlighting what makes As We Move unique.
  • Housekeeping: Assist with maintaining the cleanliness, tidiness, and security of the facility, ensuring everything is in tip-top shape for our members.
  • Rezerv Platform: Familiarize yourself with our booking and management system, learning the ins and outs of scheduling and tracking.
  • Social Media Presence: Assist with content creation and community engagement on social media platforms to promote classes, events, and milestones.

Sales Performance:

  • Track Leads & Renewals: Monitor trial leads, follow-up potential members, and track renewals to ensure consistent growth.
  • Sales Reporting: Generate daily sales reports and assist the Sales Lead in monitoring performance.
  • Member Feedback: Communicate updates from community members and gather feedback to continuously improve our offerings.
  • Sales Support: Help prime and close potential leads, working toward personal and team sales goals.

Administrative & Ad Hoc Responsibilities:

  • Basic Admin Duties: Perform routine administrative tasks such as updating member information, monitoring schedules, and other front-desk duties.
  • Event Support: Assist with organizing and running events or special classes.
  • Maintenance & Projects: Help ensure the facility is well-maintained and contribute to individual projects or new initiatives as needed.

  • Passion for Fitness: While you don’t need to be a fitness pro, an interest in health and wellness is key to thriving in this role.
  • Strong Communication Skills: You’ll be the face of As We Move, so it’s essential to communicate well with members, visitors, and the team.
  • Emotional Intelligence: Client-facing work requires empathy, patience, and the ability to handle feedback or complaints professionally.
  • Problem Solver: Ability to identify challenges and suggest improvements to enhance member experiences and operational efficiency.
  • Team Player: You’ll be part of a small, close-knit team, so working well with others and being a positive presence is essential.
  • Punctuality & Consistency: You’ll need to be dependable and consistent with attendance to ensure coverage during shifts.
  • Self-Motivation & Willingness to Learn: This role involves a lot of hands-on experience, so being proactive and open to feedback is key.
  • Organized & Detail-Oriented: Meticulous attention to detail, particularly when it comes to maintaining the cleanliness and orderliness of the gym.

Requirements:

  • Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • 1 Year of Relevant Experience (preferred): Any experience in operations, sales, or customer service is a plus.
  • Passion for Fitness (optional): A genuine interest in health, fitness, or wellness is highly appreciated.
  • Strong Verbal Communication Skills: Must be comfortable interacting with members and resolving any concerns.
  • Adaptability: Must be comfortable with both front-of-house and back-of-house responsibilities, from member relations to housekeeping duties.
