We are looking for an enthusiastic and entrepreneurial individual to join our team in Daraz Pakistan (our "Amazon-style retailer) as a Business Development Intern - this is a challenging role with a highly autonomous and sizeable job scope so our ideal candidate is someone with an entrepreneurial spirit, who is ready to roll up their sleeves and help build the next Amazon in Pakistan!
This position is an exciting and extraordinary opportunity to be at the root of a fast growing and constantly developing company. You will gain insight and first hand experience into an internet start-up, learn day-to-day management and build functional expertise. You will be working in one of our local offices in South East Asia.
You should be a highly motivated individual who is interested in entrepreneurship, e-commerce, and is able to quickly assume a great deal of responsibility. In this role, you will gain deep insight into how start-ups operate, and will have the opportunity to work alongside an international team with a strong track record. Furthermore you will have to rotate across departments to identify improvement areas across key functions like recruitment, sales and quality controls. Additionally, you have to identify areas for improvement in internal processes and design new processes. It will provide you with immense opportunities for initiative, creation and leadership. High performing interns may have the opportunity to return for full-time employment.
- Ideally you have already successfully obtained a Bachelor's or Master's degree from university, with outstanding communication skills and fluency in English
- At least 6 months availability and an interest in working in emerging markets
- Highly motivated, with an absolute hands-on mentality, exceptional analytic skills and strong communication skills. You will also possess independence, ambition and professionalism
- A strong interest in e-commerce (an interest in the automotive industry or start-ups is highly preferable)
- You have a clear interest in people and are motivated to work in a start-up environment, and you are flexible and agile Furthermore, you are excited to work in an inspiring and developing country
