The Asia Pacific Internet Group (APACIG), a major player in the Asian e-commerce market, was established in 2014 by Rocket Internet and Ooredoo as Rocket Internet’s Asia Pacific regional centre.

Currently, APACIG unites 13 online companies across 15 APAC countries, and we are growing rapidly.
We are currently looking for intelligent, driven and entrepreneurial interns to work across our ventures in the APAC region: Singapore, Myanmar, Philippines, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Cambodia and Nepal.
This is a great opportunity to work in a collaborative, hands-on role while also having the chance to oversee and direct the strategc drection on the function.
You will be at the root of a fast growing and constantly developing company. You will gain insight and first hand experience into an internet start-up, learn day-to-day management and build functional expertise. You should be a highly motivated individual who is interested in entrepreneurship, e-commerce, and is able to quickly assume a great deal of responsibility. In this role, you will gain deep insight into how start-ups operate, and will have the opportunity to work alongside an international team with a strong track record. Some of your responsibilities will include:
- Being part of the management team and working closely with the founder to evaluate the current IT landscape
- Establishing a forward-looking IT vision in alignment with the business strategy
- The overall technical architecture, code quality, performance, security and scalability
- Solving complex problems and supporting your team hands on
- Finding and selecting talented people and building a great team
- Creating a culture of accountability, quality, agility and high performance that will nurture the attraction, development and retention of outstanding tech talent
- Experience in building and maintaining marketplace systems at scale
- Experience with mobile / multi-device development
- Fluent in at least two of the following languages: C++, Go, PHP, .NET, Ruby, Java, Python
- Deep technical knowledge in architecture and infrastructure
- Enjoying to work in agile development processes (Scrum or Kanban)
- Outstanding university degree in a technical subject and several years' experience in a lead developer position
- You are respected in the development community and you can attract talented coders
- Communicate fluently in English
