Job Description

We are seeking passionate and motivated students to join our team and contribute to cutting-edge research projects in the field of metal additive manufacturing (AM). These projects focus on the development of advanced alloys, including shape memory alloys, high-strength aluminum alloys, and high-performance titanium alloys. The ultimate goal is to design and fabricate materials with exceptional mechanical properties and intricate geometries, supporting innovation in aerospace and other demanding applications.

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Participate in experimental work related to metal additive manufacturing.

  • Investigate process-induced defects and analyze microstructural features using advanced characterization techniques.

  • Support the development and optimization of alloy compositions tailored for AM processes.

  • Gain hands-on experience with metallurgical sample preparation, optical microscopy, hardness testing, and other relevant methods.

  • Develop a systematic understanding of the relationships between process parameters, microstructure, and material properties.

  • Contribute to the generation of technical reports and presentations summarizing research findings.

This internship provides a valuable opportunity to work alongside experienced researchers and gain practical skills in a rapidly growing and impactful area of materials science and engineering.
