Job Description

Job Summary:
To assist a team of Event Managers and Coordinators to execute an overall design of events for our clients within the lifestyle sector,  from conception, proposal creation and budgeting through project pre-production, installation and completion.


Main Duties and Responsibilities (not necessarily in priority order):

 

§  Working within the Events team to ensure successful project delivery

o    Provide creative input to project brainstorms.

o    Assist with development of event concepts, visualisations and proposals for client presentation.

o    Develop event concepts into viable applications for the project.

o    Ensuring smooth delivery & high standard for all projects.

o    Assist event managers and coordinators with abiding by event templates for project timelines, budgets, run sheets, third party briefs, tech specs, call sheets, cue sheets, invoicing, P&L & show books

o    Assist in scheduling of all aspects of the project, both during pre-production and on-site

o    Assist with regards to production of environmental design (stage sets, decor, exhibition areas etc)

o    Supervise management of sub-contractors and suppliers, both in terms of overseeing delivery of their role and their financial remuneration

o    Assist with content creation, including scripts, on-screen graphics, multimedia and video production

o    Coordinating post-event wrap-up and debriefs

o    Collaborating with colleagues from other departments to ensure quality and overall delivery of inter-departmental projects

o    Maintain a documentation system that allows archiving of all project materials and information for easy access and referencing

o    Maintain a reference library and database of suppliers/vendors’ portfolio/samples

o    Keep current with market/industry trends & competitor activity including identifying new players

 

Required:

We are looking for a 3D designer with a proven track record of working within the events field.  From initial ideas generation for the clients brief, through development to event application. This experience should include the following key areas:

·         Graphic design for event concept and application to events collateral.

·         2D & 3D design for event productions such as Gala Dinners, Corporate/Product Launches, Exhibitions, Fashion Shows, Award Ceremonies, Conferences & Festivals (International events management experience is a huge plus)

·         Liaison with suppliers in the areas of Fabrication, Logistics, and Design.

·         Sourcing from a network of existing suppliers and fee negotiation

·         Event administration

 

Key qualities:

·         Creative and innovative in ideas and solutions

·         Strong knowledge of 3D & 2D design programs (AutoCAD, 3DVis, Sketch-Up, etc)

·         Strong knowledge of graphic design programs (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc)

·         Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines

·         Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

·         Has a strong passion for creating unique events

·         Has a strong client service ethic

·         Is a strong multi-tasker

·         A confident communicator with excellent verbal and written communication skills
