We are currently adding a new business stream in the exciting field of underwater drones and seeking a dynamic and motivated individual to join our team as an Technology Intern. As a Technology Intern working on an Underwater Drone Project, you’ll play a key role in supporting the design, development, and testing of underwater drone systems. This is an exciting opportunity for a student or recent graduate to gain hands-on experience with advanced robotics, sensor integration, and software development, all within the unique challenges of underwater environments.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in developing, integrating, and testing visual and image AI tools for underwater drones, including object detection and data collection.
- Work on sensor integration and data analysis to improve underwater drone performance and functionality.
- Contribute to the hardware setup, wiring, and assembly of underwater drones and related equipment.
- Support field tests and simulations of drones in aquatic environments, collecting and analyzing performance data.
- Collaborate with engineers to troubleshoot technical issues related to drone operations, both in terms of hardware and software.
- Document technical processes, experiments, and results for ongoing and future projects.
- Participate in team brainstorming sessions to explore innovative solutions for enhancing underwater drone capabilities.
- Research emerging technologies in underwater robotics and report findings that could be beneficial to project development.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a study in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Data Analytics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic programming knowledge in languages like Python, C++, or Java.
- Familiarity with sensor technology, computer vision, network engineering, and data collection/analysis is a plus.
- Experience with CAD software, circuit design, or simulation tools is desirable but not required.
- Enthusiastic about marine technology and eager to work with underwater systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Good written and verbal communication skills to document and present technical findings.
