The flagship Awfully Chocolate store in Singapore — and Awfully Chocolate's very first Bakery & Cafe concept — serves up a contemporary, wholesome selection of well-loved comfort food, live-baked pastries and chocolate tempered fresh on-site.
On our Internship Programme, student will have the opportunity to learn and develop proper techniques and skills in food preparation, understanding the mechanics of food preparation, teamwork and overall back of house experience in our restaurant.
Trainee will work with major kitchen equipment, learning the ins and outs of a corporate kitchen.
Food Preparation
-Learn and develop proper techniques and skills in food preparation in a fast paced environment.
-Prepare and clean food preparation utensils and equipment, cooking stations, platting and serving area
-Develop and learn time management in food preparation for customer satisfaction.
-Learn how to both handle the food preparation for breakfast, lunch and dinner service.
-Prepare and organize all menu items -ingredients needed for cooking
-Check availability of raw items and other stocks needed
-Help in the overall set up of the kitchen, ready for service hour
Kitchen Equipment
-Learn on proper handling of utensils and other cooking equipment
-Maintain proper kitchen cleanliness and safety
-Cleaning and clearing of utensils, dishes , pots and pans
Kitchen Safety and Cleanliness
- All Food Handler will undergo the Basic Food Hygiene Course conducted by WSG
-Implement high standard of hygiene and safety practices in the kitchen and all throughout the restaurant
Teamwork and Customer Services
- Learn how to interact with team members and practice a good working environment at all times
-Be able to explain to customer in case of queries on their food
