Barry Callebaut Asia Pacific – Content Writer Intern

The objective of the Corporate Communications – Content Development/Writer Internship program is to provide students and fresh graduates with the opportunity to expand upon their academic foundation - specifically their technical skills, their knowledge of the corporation and their familiarity with a corporate environment. This program will introduce the intern to Barry Callebaut, as well as the Corporate Communications group. Over the last few years, we have worked with talented interns from various educational institutions. 

Freelancers and part-times are welcome to apply for this position too. Barry Callebaut offers a hybrid/flexible working arrangements.

Responsibilities:

Working with members of the Asia Pacific Corporate Communications team to support in our content development. Your tasks will include:

• Creating concise, eye-catching, and innovative headlines and body copy

• Researching and organizing facts and sources – to develop content that is innovative and original

• Interviewing sources (including employees, customers, etc.)

• Consistently brainstorming and collaborating with team for new ideas and strategies

• Building a following for our brand on social media with creative content

• Writing a wide variety of topics for multiple channels (website, blogs, articles, social updates, banners, case studies, etc.)

Requirements:

• Did we say, “love chocolate”?

• Diploma or degree student/holder

• Preferably a background in mass communications or journalism

• Highly proficient in English writing and verbal communications

• Familiarity with key social media tools (e.g. LinkedIn)

• An ability to consistently demonstrate our values of insight, hard work, and effectiveness in your personal approach to work;

• Excellent attention to detail and a high motivation to learn;

• An ability to remain calm under pressure and a robust/resilient attitude towards challenges; An ability to prioritize work and complete tasks with quick turnaround times and minimal fuss; and

• Collaborating with functional managers and creative teams
