Barry Callebaut Asia Pacific – Asia Pacific Corporate Communications, Intern

We are looking for a talent to join our Asia Pacific Corporate Communications team as an intern. 

The objective of the Corporate Communications – Internship program is to provide students and fresh graduates with the opportunity to expand upon their academic foundation - specifically their technical skills, their knowledge of the corporation and their familiarity with a corporate environment. This program will introduce the intern to Barry Callebaut, as well as the Corporate Communications group. Over the last few years, we have worked with talented interns from various educational institutions.

Freelancers and part-times are welcome to apply for this position too. Barry Callebaut offers hybrid/flexible working arrangements.

Responsibilities:

Working with members of the Asia Pacific Corporate Communications team, you will have the opportunity to engage in fully integrated campaigns involving media relations, internal communications, sustainability communications, event management, creative production, content development & social media. Here are just some of the experiences you may gain:

• Speaking to one of our business leaders so that you can draft a LinkedIn post for him

• Directing graduate trainees across Asia to create a TikTok video

• Working with the team to organize a business conference or a live-stream employee town hall

• Supporting the team in filming inside our chocolate factory

• Researching facts and sources so that you can write a great story about sustainable chocolate

Requirements:

• Did we say, “love chocolate”?

• Diploma or degree student/holder

• Must already be based in Singapore or already have a proper visa to study/work in Singapore

• Preferably a background in mass communications or journalism

• Highly proficient in English writing and verbal communications

• Familiarity with key social media tools (e.g. LinkedIn)

• An ability to consistently demonstrate our values of insight, hard work, and effectiveness in your personal approach to work;

• Excellent attention to detail and a high motivation to learn;

• An ability to remain calm under pressure and a robust/resilient attitude towards challenges; An ability to prioritize work and complete tasks with quick turnaround times and minimal fuss; and

• Collaborating with functional managers and creative teams
