Sales Manager

Position Summary: We are looking for a dynamic Sales Manager to spearhead membership recruitment from the MSME sector and identify city licensees in the broader business landscape. The ideal candidate will uncover new business opportunities, attract MSME clients, and evaluate potential licensees based on the prospect’s business track record and financial health. This role demands a proactive individual with strong industry connections and business acumen who can effectively manage a sales team and their pipeline to meet or exceed targets.
Job Scope
Business Development:
- Explore business opportunities from prospects, focusing on the commercial area of MSMEs.
- Solicit new MSME businesses to achieve assigned membership drive targets.
- Develop strong business connections and expand existing business relationships.
- Plan and coordinate events for membership drives to attract new members and licensees.
Client Engagement:
- Conduct sales calls and visits to prospective clients/MSME associations for business solicitation to expand the membership base.
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers in target businesses.
Team Development:
- Develop Business Consultants ("BCs") and train them to recruit new members.
- Support BCs in their efforts to expand the membership base.
- Work closely with Marketing and Trade Desk to ensure prospects are managed effectively in the sales pipeline to the point of successful trading within the first 90 days.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Licensee Recruitment: Recruit city licensees from strong potential clients, enhancing our market presence and reach in Malaysia.
- Sales Planning and Reporting: Develop sales plans, set goals, and produce monthly forecasting reports to track progress against targets based on revenue streams.
- Management Support: Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and team leaders; complete other appropriate assignments made by Senior Management.
Other Criteria:
- Education: Tertiary education with a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
- Language Skills: Fluent in spoken English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin. Knowledge of other Chinese dialects is an advantage.
