Job Description
Main Duties and Responsibilities
1. Greets guests and opens the door for every guest, upon entering and departing.
2. Maintains a neat, clean and professional image with a cheerful, courteous disposition.
3. Answers telephone within 3 rings and answer questions or direct calls to the appropriate staff member efficiently.
4. Escorts guests as soon as possible to appropriate table.
5. Communicate Guest questions or concerns to Managers as appropriate.
6. Bids farewell to guests leaving. Ensures everything was satisfactory and invites guests to return.
7. Keeps foyer, host area, wait area and cocktail tables clean and free of clutter.
8. Maintains the cleanliness and organization of the Host station: Ensures all menus are stocked and properly cleaned and maintained. Checks for restocking of necessary supplies. Brings all areas up to standard. Discusses problem areas with manager.
9. Inspects restrooms periodically and maintain cleanliness standards (if applicable)
10. Performs shift change and/or opening or closing duties.
11. Keeps immediate supervisor promptly and fully informed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and take prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action that may be taken.
Experience and Qualifications
'N' Levels, 'O' Levels equivalent or higher
Proficiency in English Language
Competencies/Skills Set
1. Must be a team player and possess good communication skills
2. Customer oriented individual who enjoys interacting with people at all times
3. Problem-solving skills with the ability to respond to guests quickly especially for long waits during peak hours
