Job Description

Job Scope:

  • Ensure timely and safe processing, handing and storage of Halal chicken, mutton and beef products, adhering to regulatory requirements (SFA, WSHA, etc). 
  • Skewer meat onto Satay stickers in a safe manner either manually or using Satay Production machine.
  • Handle cooked Satay Sauce and pack them into smaller vacuum bags safely. 
  • Packing of Satay meat and sauces into proper packaging using vacuum and thermal sealing machines. Able to operate high capacity and large machines in a safe manner with minimal supervision.
  • Verify that each finished item meets the quality standards of the company by weights and size requirements.
  • Ensure all products are sealed with expiry and production dates upon packing.
  • Able to carry heavy product packs (<20kg) with proper lifting techniques and use trolleys.
  • Able to work in cold room production unit (14 degrees to 18 degrees Celsius).
  • Ensure storage of finished products into Freezers and Cold rooms.
  • Comprehend written instructions and recipes from the company when putting together ingredients and starting a new batch of products for marination and mixing.
  • Always ensure use of Personal Protective Equipment (Jackets, Apron, Hairnet, Mask, Safety Non-slip Boots, Gloves, etc).
  • Ensure cleanliness of satay processing area and adopt proper techniques as trained by Production Manager.
  • Sanitize all materials and machinery parts at the end of each shift and clean the workspace at the worker station by following company cleanliness standards.
  • Meet targets to ensure satay production unit completes the daily production requirements.
  • Be fully aware of Hygiene standards and monitor temperature requirements of meat products at all stages of preparation and storage.
  • Where necessary, handle processing, packaging and storing of other meat products as instructed by the Production Manager.

 

Skills Required:

  • Dexterity for fast skewering and packing
  • Able to comprehend recipes
  • Able to perform physical functions, standing long hours, heavy loading
  • Able to comprehend hygiene standards and storage methods.

Educational Qualification:

  • No formal education needed
  • Preferred those with Culinary Skills Certification

Years of Experience:

  • No experience needed – we accept new trainees.

Working Condition:

  • Batch Production is done while standing
  • Cold Room (14 degrees to 18 degrees) in meat processing room
  • Wear Jackets, boots and gloves

Training Requirements:

WSQ Follow Food and Beverage Safety and Hygiene Policies and Procedures (Hygiene Cert) - those without certificate will be sent for training prior to starting work.

Salary and Remunerations:

  • 9 hrs Shift Full Time (Gross Pay: $1600 - $1800)
  • 7 hrs Shift Part-time (Gross Pay: $1000)
  • 6 Days Work week, Sundays OFF
  • Leaves and Benefits as per Employment Act
