Job Description

About BestFoody Summary:

We are seeking a curious and motivated UX Research Intern with a problem-first mindset to join our team and contribute to the development of user-centred products. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of user research, working alongside experienced designers to understand user needs and behaviors.

You will be involved in various stages of the research process, from planning and conducting studies to analyzing data and communicating findings. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for understanding people and a desire to learn how research informs design. We value individuals who are adaptable and thrive in a collaborative environment.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Partner with product, strategy, and other business partners to identify research topics.
  • Support the formulation of research hypotheses, the design and implementation of studies addressing both user behaviour and attitudes, the analysis and synthesis of user experience, and the delivery of actionable insights and solutions addressing the research topics along with other user researchers
  • Assist in the planning and execution of user research studies, including usability testing, user interviews, surveys, and field studies.
  • Learn and apply various research methods and techniques under the guidance.
  • Recruit and schedule participants for research studies.
  • Conduct user interviews and moderate usability testing sessions.
  • Analyze qualitative and quantitative data to identify key insights and trends.
  • Tracking product's progress and identifying problems via tracking user benchmarking metrics periodically, and figuring out ways to ascribe those problems to a cause and fix them.
  • Create presentations and reports to communicate research findings to the design team and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with designers and product managers to translate research insights into design recommendations.
  • Contribute to the development of research materials and documentation

Requirements:

  • You are pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in human behaviour-related fields (HCI, Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, Information Science, Economics, Political Science, Behavioral Science, Statistics, etc.).
  • You have exposure with survey design and response effects.

Good to have:

  • You have great interest in or understanding of F&B industry
  • Problem-first mindset
  • Transforming user insights into impactful design solutions
  • You are a great communicator, having strong communication and presentation skills to present data in an understandable and convincing way.
  • Ability to speak Chinese or Malay is preferred but not essential

Bonus Points:

  • Experience with UIUX Design - This role is ideal for someone in UIUX Design who plans to transition to a UX Researcher/Business Analyst role.
