Job Description

As an automation research engineer, the candidate will contribute to the development and integration of the “Automated Disassembly System” as part of our research to improve Circular Economy and Sustainability. The candidate will assist in the following tasks:Design, development and integration of the disassembly system

  • Design of the required hardware setup using CAD software
  • Programming of machine, robot and/or related automation devices
  • Software or GUI development required for the disassembly system
  • Project updates, presentation, support demonstrations for project stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Able to work full time for a period of 6 months (April 2025 onwards)
  • Undergraduate/graduate studies in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, robotics, or computer science.
  • Experience with mechanical design and the usage of any typical CAD tools.
  • Experience with programming languages (e.g. Python, C++).
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and great problem-solving skills.Effective communication and presentation skills.
