Harnessing the support of the public sector and private enterprises, Business China, as a non-profit organisation, aims to strengthen the ties between Singapore and China, so as to sustain and grow the global connectivity of Singapore through:
- Becoming the leading bilingual and bicultural channel for closer collaboration with China.
- Establishing a widespread appreciation and acceptance of Chinese language and culture, within the multi-ethnic, multi-cultural mosaic that is fundamental to the Singapore identity.
- Nurturing young Singaporeans to develop deeper links with China, engaging it in all facets including economic, business, social, cultural and educational.
About FutureChina
The FutureChina (FC) division focuses on trend watching, topical studies and content curation on China’s economy and international relations with –Singapore and other countries. It organises Business China’s annual flagship event – the FutureChina Global Forum, an international platform for business leaders and experts to share their views, experiences and assessment and to discuss about China. It also organises the Business China Award, which aims to honour outstanding individuals and enterprises for their contributions to Singapore-China relations. The FutureChina division maintains a strong corporate and government network in Singapore and the region, and brings in exclusive value & China’s insights to Business China’s corporate members.
This role allows you to be in the thick of exciting research, analysis and discussions on the current and future developmental trajectory, economic and business trends in China, and with China and Chinese businesses in other countries.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Developing programmes and their contents for the company, i.e. Future China Global Forum.
- Liaising with partners with regards to the content of the event and logistical arrangements for the various programmes. Partners include hotel, various vendors, management companies, designing vendors, photography vendors, printing vendors etc.
- Performing administrative work when engaging various vendors (PRFs, ITQ, quotations, invoices etc).
- Preparing Administrative Programmes for Board of Directors when they attend any of our events.
- Designing and creating EDMs for events.
- Preparing emcee scripts and being emcee for BC events.
- Conducting research on latest trends and topics for programme development.
- Collating RSVPs from participants and process their registration to various events. This includes getting their information and other relevant documents.
- Translating programme contents, such as synopsis, speakers’ biography, titles.
- Any other tasks, duties or responsibilities designated by the Manager or Director
Requirements:
- Effectively bilingual in English and Mandarin – written and verbal communication skills.
- Good knowledge and interest in China and International relations.
- Being a self-starter with a positive attitude is essential.
- Singapore Citizens/PRs may apply.
