Job Description

Title: Finance Executive

Reporting to: Finance Director

Duration: Permanent Position

Job  Description: To handle Finance tasks such as preparation of full set of management account schedules, manage sales invoicing and receipt of payment from debtors, bank reconciliations and settle payments to suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Banking – Preparation of bank statements and payments received for preparation and posting into the Finance system; together with manual and system reconciliation.

2. Debtor Control of outstanding receivables and posting of sales invoices into Debtor’s ledger, ensuring the ledger is kept up to date and that all outstanding debtors are collectable.

3. Preparation of Monthly Management Account Schedules – Preparation and reconciliation of the monthly income and expenses schedules; updating accruals and prepayments to be included in the monthly management accounts.

4.Writing of meeting minutes with clients and assisting in training activities.

5. Ad-hoc Accounting and Business advisory Duties; producing ad hoc reports and reconciliations as required by the Finance Director

7. IT Projects: Assisting on IT related projects to improve the integration of the various Departmental systems with the Finance systems in clients’ premises

8. Ad-hoc General Duties Participating in any other events or activities as directed by the Finance Director

Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year relevant accounting experience

• Experience with accounting packages is an advantage

Qualifications:

• Aspiring to be a Diploma holder

• Part-qualified accountant (ACCA/ICAI/CIMA/CPA)

Personal Attributes and Skills:

•Highly motivated with initiative

• Excellent attention to detail

• Strong analytical and communication skills

• Ability to work on own, as part of a team and good client management skills

• Proficient end user computing skills and proven application of MS Excel, Powerpoint and Word
