SUMMARY
You will be in charge of accounts payable and accounts receivable under the Shipping business. Be responsible for bank reconciliations and assist in AP And AR ledger review.
THE ROLE
Daily processing and follow-up of invoices for all Shipping-related including but not limited to Freight, Time Charter, Bunkers & Coolants and other secondary costs such as port costs, demurrage costs, broker commissions, Ship-managers’ Costs and other Fleet-related and non-trade costs
Prompt raising of invoices for Time Charter and related costs recharge for the Shipping entities
Monitoring receipts
Daily maintenance of the bank ledgers for the Shipping entities
Perform monthly bank reconciliations
Assist in interim and year-end audit samplings and preparation of audit confirmations
Assist with ad hoc tasks related to Shipping assigned from time to time
REQUIREMENTS
Degree or diploma in accountancy or finance
Application for further study in accounting or finance such as Singapore CA, ACCA or CFA
About 2 years of experience in accounting
Proficient in MS Office Word and Excel
Industry experience in Shipping or logistics is an advantage, but not a prerequisite
Open to experienced staff or fresh graduates of strong academic achievement
