Urban Farming Programme Development Internship 

 Responsibilities: 

• To be service oriented in the development and execution of informative and exciting learning journeys at a living urban farm and training center located at Pasir Ris Downtown East.
• Develop hands-on learning activities centered around engineering systems and new urban farming technologies
• Undertake content research and development to align practical urban farming techniques with MOE science syllabus for the development of lesson plans
• Conduct farm tours and hands-on urban farming experiments
• Collaborate with partners to enhance the complete Urban Farming experience
• Continuously evolve and improve training programmes.
• Develop, engage and manage associate manpower for urban farming events
• Engage digital media channels to increase reach exposure and programme awareness
• Write diagnostic reports on behaviors and learning needs of participants for continual growth and development (if required).

Requirements: 

• Interest in the area of aquaponics/plant biology / automated systems and the internet of things
• Excited about working outdoors and hosting groups of between 30 – 50 at a time
• Passion in the area of training youths and adults through practical experiential learning
• Possess a friendly, energetic and sociable personality
• Enjoys continuous learning and development 
• Proficient in both spoken and written English / Mandarin
• Willing to learn how to utilize modern technology to deliver onsite and virtual lesson plans
