Job Description

Full-Time Network Engineer Intern

We are seeking an enthusiastic full-time intern with a keen interest in networking and web server administration. The ideal candidate is eager to assist in configuring and optimizing our web hosting environment. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in deploying a website accessible over the internet from a local server while implementing essential security measures. The individual will primarily be required to work onsite.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in configuring web servers (e.g., Apache, Nginx, or IIS) to host our website.
  • Support the setup of network configurations, including port forwarding and DNS settings.
  • Learn and help implement basic security measures such as firewalls and SSL/TLS certificates.
  • Help troubleshoot connectivity issues under supervision.
  • Document the setup process and assist in creating maintenance guidelines.

 Qualifications:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree (Penultimate/Final Year preferred) in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of web servers and networking principles.
  • Familiarity with operating systems such as Windows or Linux.
  • Willingness to learn and apply security best practices.
  • Good problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work effectively under supervision and as part of a team.
