Job Description

Reporting to Technical Manager, you will provide technical support in our cineplexes and carry out operational activities which include space planning, design development works, equipment specifications and procurement activities.  You will review maintenance standards, procedures, emergency plans and training programs for the operational staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  1. Assist to supervise the technical support team.
  2. Assist to develop and train the team to enhance their knowledge.
  3. Provide budgetary on equipment costing.
  4. Coordinate and supervise the equipment installation and commissioning activities for new projects.
  5. Plan and coordinate upgrading and improvement programmes.
  6. Assist with the planning of maintenance programmes.
  7. Review maintenance standards, procedures and emergency plans.
  8. Analyse reading and records and propose improvement plans.
  9. Carry out budgeting for upcoming work year for both capex and opex.
  10. Perform quality audit checks, analyse findings and assist to troubleshoot cinema equipment / system faults and conduct rectification works.
  11. Planning training programs and conduct training / refresher training for operation.
  12. Provide technical support to the operation teams.
  13. Manage preventative maintenance programme for cinema equipment and systems.
  14. Carry out hands-on maintenance and upgrading for cinema equipment.
  15. Carry out replacement of consumables including xenon lamps and projector lamps.
  16. Supervise service contractors on repair and maintenance work.
  17. Investigate equipment failures and implements corrective and preventive measures.
  18. Manage the spare inventory system and recommend and procure the necessary spares.
  19. Source for alternative vendors for spares.

ESSENTIAL QUALITIES:

  1. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).
  2. Able to multi-task and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skill.
  4. Strong problem solving skills with high emotional intelligence.
  5. Able to work independently and be a team player.
  6. Diploma in Film/Sound and Video or Nitec in IT
  7. Past experience with film/sound and video preferred
  8. Ability to work in a face-paced environment
  9. Team player with good interpersonal and communication skills
  10. Knowledge of M&E and ACMV will be a plus
  11. Able to perform rotating shift (including night shift), to work on  weekends and public holidays
