OVERVIEW
As a Technical Support Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operations of the Technical Consulting Team through close collaboration with Sales, Marketing and Service Delivery functions. You will also have opportunities to hone your skills by working on various assignments under the guidance of subject matter experts.
At the end of your internship, you would have built a strong foundation in technical support processes, developed a sound understanding of the Content Delivery Network (CDN) industry and gained exposure in technical challenges faced by companies across Southeast Asia and Pacific region.
You should be a team player with a ‘can-do’ personality, embrace challenges, and possess strong problem solving skills.
SCOPE OF WORK
The Technical Support Intern will undergo an orientation session to learn about various functions of the company. We will also offer you on-the-job training in our technology and internal technical support
processes.
Duties include, but are not limited to the following:
- Provide ongoing support in monitoring existing customers website activity to assess and identify risks in a timely manner.
- Assist in incident reporting and escalations to the technical support team for further investigation
- Create technical process user manuals for onboarding customers to refer to as a guide on how to monitor their website traffic, performance and report issues to the technical support team.
- Conduct internal testing of the network and products to identify any network security issues and other vulnerabilities.
- Support R&D or product enhancement initiatives as and when required.
REQUIREMENTS
- Students majoring in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Cyber Security or an equivalent technical discipline.
- Basic understanding of Linux operating systems is required.
- Knowledge in networking fundamentals like TCP/IP, computer applications, security and web technologies is a plus.
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Possess strong organisational skills, a keen desire to learn and ability to prioritise in a challenging, fast-paced environment.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
