Chalk N Pencils – Art Teacher

Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver lesson plans and preparatory work for class.
• Have an ability to work independently, take initiative.
• Commit to weekly mornings and afternoons guiding children aged 3 - 12 years old.
• Create a positive and cheerful classroom environment that is conducive to learning and teaching.
• Maintain a clean space for all to use.

Requirements:

• An Art Portfolio
• Genuine love working with young children is a must.
• Respectful
• Patient with children
• Positive attitude
• Willingness to learn
• Have a growth mindset and open to feedback.
• Good command of English
• Good social skills
• Able to commit at least 6 months
• Able to commit to fixed weekly working hours - Thursday 3-6pm, Friday 1:30pm-6.30pm / Sat 9-4pm / Sun 9-4pm
• Required to report to either Joo chiat (east) or New Bahru (central)

Essential Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of teaching or interacting with children aged 3 - 12 years old.
• Experience in Drawing, Painting, Design, Clay, and Printmaking (any other art form will be an advantage)
• Currently or previously enrolled in art-related schools or courses.
