We are looking for a data and protection enthusiast who is keen to make a positive impact with your skills. As part of the data team, you will be entrusted with new initiatives to enhance the protection capabilities for the wider teams.
During your internship, you will work hand in hand with the Data Protection Officer on related projects for our intern clients. You will assist the Data Protection Officer to oversee the data protection responsibilities within the company and ensure compliance with the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and other relevant privacy regulations.
You will gain hands on experience on data protection projects from start to finish. From understanding the threats, making plans, working with internal stakeholders and finally implementing the plans fruition.
Our interns will also have the opportunity to convert your internship to a permanent staff after the internship.
The candidate will be expected to maintain and support existing projects, as well as new projects where he/she will take full ownership as to the scope and output.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning and designing data breach management plan
- Assist in maintaining the data protection records
- Assist in updating and creating internal policies
- Create data protection awareness program for the wider audience
- Manage training and communications with the wider audience
- Ad hoc duties as required to meet the needs of the business
Requirements:
- Pursuing or completed degree in any discipline.
- Good understanding of the Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other various tools
- Good critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good written, communication and presentation skills
- Ability to multi-task and able to work under tight timelines
