Job Description

Chimney is looking for a Creative Writer Intern to join our Singapore office for a minimum duration of 4 months. You will get the chance to be a part of a dynamic team working with a top entertainment company to create content for fans of Korean and Asian Dramas.

What you'll do

The Creative Writer Intern will work alongside the Writer-Producer team in shaping the voice that drives the channel and brand. You will be assisting in daily copywriting tasks that centers around the genre of K-dramas.

The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of K-dramas, with a strong ability to turn that knowledge into copy for videos, community posts, and creative briefs that spark conversation among K-drama fans. You will be exposed to the end-to-end process from ideation, video scripting, to final upload of content, and have the opportunity to work on projects to launch and promote up and coming K-drama titles.

Interns will also be expected to assist the team in administrative and operational tasks such as managing logistics, quality checking of files, liaising with translators, note-taking, running errands, and more.

 

What you need

  • A high level of interest and understanding of Korean dramas and internet culture. You are a zealous fan and have the words to sustain in-depth conversations about why you love Korean dramas.
  • Experience in copywriting, creating editorial content, and having the right language to engage a community
  • Deeply-plugged into social media and forums (Youtube, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Reddit)
  • Students or recent graduates with relevant majors (communications, marketing, media, film studies, etc) will be preferred
  • Fast learner, agile, and able to adapt to a fast-moving environment
  • Have a positive attitude and the willingness to roll up your sleeves to run errands
  • Highly initiative and committed to making a meaningful contribution
  • Excellent level of written and spoken English, acute attention to detail in language
  • Basic level of Korean understanding will be a bonus

Promising interns will have the opportunity to qualify for full-time/contract position openings after the internship.
