Contract Position (5 months) – Delegate Relations Executive

Clarion Events Asia is looking for a professional and personable Delegate Relations Intern to be part of our dynamic Enlit division which focuses on power and energy events. This is an excellent opportunity for an exceptional Business Events professional to join a highly successful, award winning, international company that organizes essential B2B events for a range of clients across the world. Job Description

The Role

In this unique role, you will be the “front-face” for all conference delegates and VIPs. You will be in charge of bringing on board senior level decision makers to attend our events and act as a key point of contact for all event attendees – delegates, VIPs, speakers and sponsors. This role will require an understanding of content, basic industry knowledge of the energy value chain and direct selling skills to acquire delegates to attend as a guest.

This is your chance to take ownership of a campaign to drive critical buy-side attendance to the event and make a major strategic contribution to the team.

If you are a fresh graduate from university or looking for an internship in the events sector, this is the perfect opportunity for you to gain experience in event management, specifically in managing delegate attendance, arranging meetings and providing excellent customer service.

If you are personable, have a dynamic disposition, a keen learner and are confident speaking with senior executives over the phone, this is a role for you!

We are open to candidates who are based remotely within ASEAN 

 Job specifications

  • To be the main point of contact to source C-suite and other key decision makers from the power and energy sector to attend our events
  • To be the main point of contact onsite for VIP attendees
  • To co-ordinate and manage meetings for sponsors and exhibitors
  • To secure high-level attendees for workshops, private luncheons, roundtables and online webinars
  • To provide sponsors and attendees with a truly great experience pre and during the conference and to provide a fantastic service element to the networking process

 Key Requirements 

  • Diploma or degree qualified
  • Great attitude to learning
  • Previous delegate sales or customer experience a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Confident in speaking with C-level executives 
  • Not afraid of cold calling via phone and making new connections
  • Strong relationship building, stakeholder management and social media skills to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Performance driven, possessing exceptional interpersonal qualities and able to work alone (self-motivate) and in a team
  • Dependable – takes responsibility for own actions, keeps commitments
  • Able to work with tight deadlines, manage time and balance tasks
